Two children died after being run over by a trolley at Jirat village in Sadar upazila of Jashore this morning (July 17, 2022).

The deceased are Zahia Khatun (4), daughter of Kamal Hossain, and Abu Huraira (3), son of Jamal Hossain of the village. Zahia and Abu Huraira are cousins, our Benapole correspondent reports.

Police and locals said that Kamal Hossain kept a trolley at his house and left in the morning. When he went to take the vehicle back, both Zahia and Huraira were crushed under the back wheels, they said.

However, none could tell how the incident happened.

Narendrapur police camp in-charge and also Sub-inspector Nazmul confirmed the incident and said, the bodies were sent to Jashore General Hospital for postmortem.
